Everything you write in Tether is stored only on your device. Nothing you type, no personal details, and no usage data is ever sent to us or any third party. We cannot read what you write — because we never receive it.

If you use iCloud Backup (a device-level setting you control), Apple may include this local data in your device backup under Apple's own privacy terms, which you can review at apple.com/privacy.

Tether does not currently use any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection services. The app does not make network requests to any external server during normal use.
Tether is rated 12+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Because all data stays on the device and no information is transmitted, there is no server-side data to delete.
Tether is a supportive writing and self-reflection tool. It is not a substitute for professional mental health care, therapy, or crisis intervention.
Signal9 Studio operates in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Because Tether does not transmit or store any personal information on external servers, there is no personal information held by us to access, correct, or delete.

If we update this policy — for example, if a future version of Tether adds server-side features — we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where required, notify you within the app. Continued use of Tether after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
